Food Processing Manufacturing in Canada

Everything in a food plant gets washed down, often with hot caustic and often several times a day, and every machined part has to survive that without trapping anything. That single constraint shapes the entire discipline. In practice the work is 304 and 316 stainless almost without exception, designed free of crevices and unfinished welds, held to a specified surface roughness and usually passivated or electropolished. Conveyor components, fillers, augers, and change parts carry much of the volume, and documenting the material and the finish matters as much as holding the dimensions.
